True to its word, Voices For Mallee has delivered the wishes of the electorate to all Mallee federal election candidates. 

Their community consultation report, “The Mallee has Spoken”, is available on their website at VoicesForMallee.net

Voters’ expectations of candidates were collected through a series of Kitchen Table Conversations (KTCs) held across the Mallee over the past year.

Voices for Mallee’s mission to raise the awareness of political process and give community members a genuine political ‘voice’ has been hampered by capacity, kilometres and COVID19.

With the election just over a month away, the group has reluctantly accepted that they are unable to endorse a candidate for this election.

The race is on! With the federal election looming, it is time for the people of the Mallee electorate to stand up and have their voices heard.

The organisation has already run a number of successful ‘Kitchen Table Conversations’ in local cafes, community houses and other venues. In a bid to reach more people, Voices For Mallee have launched a month-long ‘Kitchen Table Conversations’ blitz this week. They are calling for people to register for small group discussions to be held online starting Monday February 21st.

Advocacy group Voices For Mallee has welcomed two independent candidates, Claudia Haenel and Sophie Baldwin, who have chosen to stand in the upcoming Federal Election.
